There has been much discussion over the sexual abuse scandal that has turned the Catholic Church upside down. Many of the allegations span decades of abuse, lies and cover up by church officials. This puts a negative spin on what the church is supposed to stand for.

Golf team ready for season

The golf team is ready to begin another season. "We just came back from Ocean City, M.D., where the golf team has been getting ready for the upcoming season," Dr. Tony Verde said. Verde, the team's head coach, traveled to Ocean City with the team where he has been helping his player's fine tune their skills for this season.

A controversial Olympics comes to an end

After two weeks of scandal and controversy, the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics came to a close on Sunday. The closing ceremonies gave us memorable performances by acts such as the rock group Kiss and Christina Aguilera, who was showing a lot of skin despite Utah's cold climate.

Many candidates for gubernatorial race

The 2002 gubernatorial race for Pennsylvania is underway. Quite a few candidates have announced their bid for Pennsylvania's top political office. Many of the candidates agree with one issue, economic decline. Within the past year, Pennsylvania has suffered the tragedy of thousands losing their jobs throughout the state due to a slumping economy.

Excessive trash on campus causes many to question why?

Lately, there is a litter problem around campus. Trash can be found thrown on the lawns or it can be found just a few feet away from the trashcans. Even though there is a cleaning service that comes to the campus, why does the campus often look the way it does? Bottles or candy wrappers can be seen blowing around on the lawns or the roads.
