‘This I believe’ essays for Founder’s Day now accepted

"This I believe" is a national project compiled of 70,000 different stories based on beliefs. During the Founder's Day celebrations the Cabrini College community will share their own variations of the "This I believe" project. The "I believe" essay introduced Cabrini faculty and students to Sister Ursula's mission by asking students to record their personal beliefs in a narrative.

Lady Cavs fall to Neumann

The Cabrini women's basketball team fell to the Neumann University Knights 77-60 on Thursday, Jan. 21. Alyssa Brady, senior combo guard, led the four scorers from the Lady Cavaliers with 17 points. Brady and sophomore guard Laura Caron also tallied a team- best seven boards.

Cavs defeat Philadelphia Biblical in CSAC opener

The Cabrini men's and women's basketball teams dominated Philadelphia Biblical University on Monday, Nov. 30 on their home court. The women started off the night defeating the Crimson Eagles 57-37. The men closed off the night sending Philadelphia Biblical home with a loss of 84-53.

Lady Cavs fall in season opener

On Nov. 15 Cabrini's women's basketball team lost to Widener University Pride 65-35. The lady Cavs had trouble getting the season started against the non-conference team at Widener's home court. Senior guard Alyssa Brady tallied the team best of 10 points.

Salary cap in NBA puts crunch on team numbers Several teams are taking a major hit with the salary cap that the NBA has called for. The Eastern Conference has projected a $52 to $53 million cap. The Western Conference, however, is expected to drop to $51-52 million dollar budget.

Mighty Macs fall to Cavaliers

The women's volleyball team defeated Immaculata University 3-0 on Saturday, Oct 24. This marked 10 consecutive matches that the team has been undefeated. The Mighty Macs had problems edging the Cavaliers out with scores of 25-13, 25-8 and 25-19. Lindsey Silvestro led the Mighty Macs with five kills.

POST provides marketplace for artists in area

The Philadelphia Open Studio Tour is a way for struggling artists to get their masterpieces out in public. On Oct. 3 and 4, all art studios east of Broad Street were open for show. On Oct. 10 and 11, all studios west of Broad Street were open for show. The tour, called POST, led followers to various places in Philadelphia, such as Manayunk, Germantown, north Philadelphia, central Philadelphia and more.

Students relax during ‘Transformers’ movie night

Students gathered in East Residence lounge on Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. to watch "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen." This is the second movie event that CAP Board has sponsored this year. It gives students an opportunity to take a break from studying and get involved with different people on campus.

ContempraDance studio offers classes for all in Wayne

The ballerinas' perfect poses inspire all who visit the ContempraDance studio. The studio offers classes for all ages, including adults, and is hoping to add college students to their list. The dance studio, located on 396 West Lancaster Ave, has a wide variety of classes to choose from, as well as work-outs.

Movies to check out furing fall season

With two dollar movie tickets in hand from the SEAL office Cabrini students are dying to know what movies are out there to see. "Love Happens," which opened on Sept. 19, is a romantic comedy. An author (played by Aaron Eckhart) and a florist (played by Jennifer Aniston) meet unexpectedly at a self- help talk.
