Seniors should opt for experience, not A’s

Now that it’s finally hitting me that, very soon, there won’t be a cafeteria below my feet and sweatpants won’t actually be the appropriate businesswear, I’m starting to realize how important all of my internships and jobs were.

The return of ‘LOST’: 4 8 15 16 23 42 and other questions I need answered

Okay so seriously "LOST" sounds like the most ridiculous show on television. I only know this because a) it has taken me forever to write this article because I realize how stupid it must sound and b) because I used to be its biggest critic. Fortunately for me, two admittedly addicted "LOST" fans coaxed me into watching the season five finale.

The purpose of the Cabrini Fund, an annual fund-raising campaign, is to help address the greatest needs of the college, which varies each year.

Gaining weight due to recession?

It's a shame there's no level on the food pyramid for comfort food, because I think it's safe to say that, although most of us have established "get skinny" resolutions for 2009, there's a stash of chocolate and Campus Corner menus hidden somewhere in our dorm rooms.

Professor examines video games in book

Ask any college student how they feel about video games, and the first words you hear probably won't be "stimulating" or "mental rotation." But in a new study published by Cabrini psychology professor Dr. Melissa Terlecki, video games mean more than an afternoon of putting off homework.

HPV vaccine

"O-N-E L-E-S-S.I wanna be one less...one less!" I don't know about anyone else, but, aside from freecreditreport.com, I think the Gardasil commercial song might be the catchiest one on television. By catchy, I don't necessarily mean clever-I mean it won't leave my head at the most random times.

Phobias plague students and faculty

Halloween is coming and along with it comes the cavities, hangovers and of course, the scary movies. Although celebrating this wonderful holiday has taken on a different meaning now, there was once a time when it was actually as basic as a month-long celebration of spooking and scaring.

Dr. William Geary, "criminologist by trade," joins the faculty as a full-time assistant professor of sociology and criminology. Geary, who graduated from Penn State University with a degree in administration of justice, said that although he enjoys working with students, he started teaching for a different reason.

Students review colleges

College searching just got about 10 times easier. With the recent introduction of college review site Unigo.com, high school juniors and seniors will be able to access student feedback of their prospective schools. Besides being a pretty helpful tool, it means the world of college hunting has finally abandoned those back-breaking review books that were once synonymous with finding the perfect school.
