It was the day the war came home. On May 4, 1970, at Kent State University in Ohio, 4 students met their fate as they protested the war in Vietnam. "The times were different because of the draft," Cathy Yungmann, department of English/communication, said. Yungmann was a freshman at Kent State when the killings took place, "every area had a draft board and they had a quota of so many young men that they had to draft.

Men’s basketball tops Arcadia 54-47

The men's basketball team improved their record to 16-7 overall and 11-3 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference on Wednesday, Feb. 12, when they took on the Knights of Arcadia University. The 54-47 victory moved the Cavs back into first place in the PAC. The Cavs went into the game feeling confident that they would be able to beat the Knights as long as they "played smart and didn't turn the ball over," sophomore Dan Clemens said.

Like little kids on Christmas morning, the students of Cabrini College sat around anxiously Sunday night waiting for the announcement that school would be closed for snow on Monday, Feb. 17. After the numerous instant messages, phone calls and searches on the web for any indication of a school closing, the official word made it around campus: Cabrini College would be closed on Monday, Feb.

Presentation discusses AIDS concern in Africa

The Collaborative Learning Community, Healing Matters sponsored in partnership with Catholic Relief Services a presentation on Wednesday, April 14, on the growing problem of AIDS in Africa. The presentation given was broken down into three parts including a powerpoint presentation that gave audience members the real story about the disease that is plaguing Africa, followed by a poster session run by students who take part in Healing Matters, concluding with a CRS presentation about advocacy in relation to AIDS.

"We're here for a fun time, but not for a long time." That quote just seems to be ringing in my ears lately. After this semester, I will be facing my senior year. Funny how I never thought that would happen; it always just seemed so far away. Now, every other email is about internships, sleep has become non-existent, trying to juggle classes and the extra-curricular that are so important and are so much apart of who I am have caused me to sit back and think, "Am I ready for the real world?"
