Men’s soccer drops heartbreaker at Eastern

The Cabrini men's soccer team played what was anticipated to be a hard-hitting game in the blistering heat against rival Eastern University, but Cabrini was defeated. The scoreboard remained blank until close to the end of the second half of the game when Eastern became successful at a goal attempt.

Women’s volleyball victorious in 1st home tilt

Cabrini women's volleyball dominated Misericordia University in its first home game of the season. Cheers and whistles were heard throughout the Dixon Center for what was close to a two-hour bout on Thursday, Sept. 4. The teams anticipated a battle for a best-of-five match.

Pigs fly in battle of the bands

Four bands cranked up their amps and took to the stage in their best efforts to win the opening slot for Cabrini's spring concert. The bands competing for the coveted opening slot Feb. 25 in Grace Hall consisted of Small Towns/Big Cities, Pigs in Flight, The Stillverse and Last Day to Live.

Remembering history

First-year college president to be inaugurated

Marie Angelella George, Ph.D. will be inaugurated as the seventh president of Cabrini College on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Thomas P. Nerney Field House in the Dixon Center from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The inauguration ceremony is expected to bring members of the board of trustees, faculty, students, alumni and staff to the campus.

Getting a bad case of beer muscles

Guys, you can deny it if you want, but at one point in your life you have probably been guilty of or at least heard the term "beer muscles." Anyone who has had a few too many on a night out knows that alcohol has the ability to make people act in a way they normally wouldn't.

Hall of fame honors athletic standouts

Cabrini's very own athletic hall of fame added four new members on the evening of Friday, Oct. 3. Dr. James Hedtke, John Keating, Melissa Posse and Janet Cobb Ryerson were the four new members added to the hall of fame. The event at the Dixon Center attracted family members and close friends as well as a youthful crowd.

Senior tennis star not quite ready to call it quits

Dina DiTaranto, senior graphic design and studio art major, recently was selected to be player of the week for tennis. This was the second time she was selected for this honor for her performance on the tennis team. DiTaranto attended Holy Cross High School where she began to play tennis at a competitive level.

Field hockey suffers heartbreaker to Del Val

Women's field hockey, with a 3 - 4 season, faced defeat to Delaware Valley College on Tuesday, Sept. 16. The game went into double overtime and was followed by a shoot-out in which Delaware Valley claimed their victory. No points were scored for the first half of the game.
