For many college students activities and events to entertain them on the weekends can be an important criteria for attending a college. At Cabrini, the Campus Activities and Programming Board makes sure that there are plenty of activities for students to attend and enjoy.
Women have come a long way from the days of not being allowed to attend school or hold positions of power in the work place. So then is it so surprising that in the next 10 years women could be teammates with men in the NBA?

One of Cabrini College's professors celebrated 50 years of service to the college on Thursday, Jan. 21. Dr. Joseph Romano commemorated his 50 year anniversary at Cabrini by traveling to New York City for a reception in his honor. A sense of excitement filled the Dixon Center as the Third Annual Fair Trade Wallyball tournament kicked off on Tuesday, Oct. 6. It started off with 16 teams but only one came out victorious.
This was not just an ordinary tournament; it was also a great way to raise awareness for fair trade.
Lauren Alessi, sophomore field hockey player and 2008 Rookie of the Year, is a strong forward with goal-scoring abilities, as well as a tenacious defender.
"Lauren is aggressive and hardworking. She was on fire last year. She works great with her teammates and is an all around great athlete and a good person," field hockey coach Jackie Neary said.
The lady Cavaliers lost to Arcadia 1-0 on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 4 p.m. Cabrini struggled to get the ball in the net against the Knights goalkeeper Jacki Law. The Knights took advantage of a mistake that the Cavaliers made and that is how they scored their lone goal of the game.
