MacLelland named to Hoop team

Senior forward Bruce MacLelland was recently named to the Philadelphia Inquirer's 2007 Winter All-Academic hoops team. He carries a 3.7 grade point average and averages eight points and10 rebounds per game. "It is very humbling to know there are so many college basketball players in the area and to be picked as one of the top five for academic excellence means a lot," MacLelland said.

Lack of study in ovarian cancer raises concern

"I was speechless. I was numb. Whether you want to know it or not, they will explain it to you," Sandy Eubank of Riverside, NJ said when she found out she had ovarian cancer. Eubank was diagnosed with ovarian cancer six months ago and on April 24, 2007 found out that she beat it and is now in remission.

Golf: freshman Lawler named PAC Athlete of the Week

Freshman Chris Lawler was named PAC athlete of the week last week for his performance on Cabrini's golf team. "It felt good being named PAC player of the week because that shows how my playing well multiple times that week was recognized," Lawler said. Softball hoping for comeback

The Cabrini women's softball team had some hard losses over the past few weeks in Arizona and at home but is ready to step up their game. The team hadn't stepped onto the dirt at all because of bad weather until their Pennsylvania Athletic Conference opener, a double header on March 27 against Alvernia.

Lady Cavs trample Rosemont 18-6

Cabrini women's lacrosse battled it out on their home turf against Rosemont on Wednesday, March 14. The team won 18-6, which was a big turn-over from their last game. The team played Ursinus on Monday, March 12 and gave it their best with a 13-14 loss in overtime.

Recently, the English and communication department has split into two separate majors. Basically, if you are a communication major, you don't have to be an English major and vice versa. Y100 is back on the airwaves on 88.5 WXPN. Y100 became a memory to many devoted listeners on Feb. 24, 2005. Petitions were posted and complaints were made but Y100 was no more. "I was upset when Y100 was taken off the air because it was the only station that I listened to," said senior marketing major Megan O'Neil.
