Students on campus keep summer options open

With summer coming like a freight train, college students all over are planning vacations, interviewing for jobs and searching for internships related to their major. Although most internships do not pay, look excellent on resumes and can aid in finding a job after graduation.

Playoff season has arrived

Ending last season as the NCAA East Regional runner-up for the second year in a row with a record of 42-5, this year's women's softball team will try to do it all over again. This season, the softball team will be going into the PAC Championships as the regular season PAC Champions with a record of 31-6.

Double-header victories clinch play-off spot for Cavalier softball team

The softball team defeated The College of Misericordia twice in a double-header on Tuesday, April 17. During the first game, the Lady Cavaliers defeated the Lady Cougars 4-1 at the top of the seventh inning. The second game ended with an extra inning when Senior Megan Johnston, pitcher, stole home on an overthrow to third base at the top of the eighth inning bringing the score to 1-0.

Hey mambo, mambo Italiano. After the passing of an "Irish" holiday we felt the need to take a little of the spot light, even though St Patrick was born in Italy. So we thought we would take a minute to tell you why it is so good to be Italian. Olive complexion allows us to stay tan in the winter and golden in the summer compared to pasty in the winter and burnt to a freckled crisp ending in a nasty peel in the summer.

In a world filled with animosity, hate, sorrow and many other melancholy emotions, there are a lot of other emotions I sometimes forget that we as human beings are capable of expressing. From time to time I begin to think I don't make enough time for all of the good emotions and only allow the bad emotions to be present in my everyday life.

Last semester, Tracey Greenwood, fitness director, hired Lisa Kuesal-Tryanor to instruct members of the Cabrini College community in kickboxing. She taught step a few years ago during the Dixon Centers' freshman year, but took time off to heal an injury.
