Most students know Cabrini College was named after Mother Cabrini.
Few of us know exactly who she was and why she was so important. Students don't understand that there are Cabrini sisters all over the globe, working everyday, continuing the work that Mother Cabrini had started.
Even before the current U.S. economic crisis, there was a worldwide epidemic affecting more than half of the world's population, leaving almost a billion people starving and many more, even in the U.S., struggling to get a basic necessity in life: food.
Regardless of your political party affiliation and who you voted for on Nov. 4, change in the White House is coming. Whether or not it is the change you wanted, does the future of our country really now depend on just one man?
Now that the presidential race is over, it is up to us as American citizens to make sure our president holds true to his promises and delivers on the issues that we based our votes on.
Never again, the world collectively agreed after 10 million were killed during the Nazi persecution. Never again would the world sit back and let an innocent ethnic group die. Never again would the world allow genocide.
The promise of "never again" has done nothing and has allowed millions to lose theirs lives to genocide.
Cabrini's desire to be the latest and greatest institution has resulted in widespread disapproval. The argument for the amount of living space has grown quite old during the past few years. Students have been crammed into every closet on the soon-to-be concrete campus with a pillow, a roommate and a dream- all to ensure a future that, in the administrations eyes, appears promising.
