Over Christmas break, the Cabrini men's basketball team traveled to Marymount University in Virginia on Jan. 3 and 4 to compete in the Marymount University Comcast Challenge. In the first round, the team played Mount St. Mary's College out of New York and defeated them, 83-64.

Women’s basketball splits tournament

The Cabrini women's basketball team opened up their season with a tournament at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. on the weekend of Nov. 22. The team lost their first game against The University of Scranton Royals, but bounced back to win the consolation game and defeat The Washington & Lee University Generals.

Men’s soccer captures CSAC crown

team captured its first conference title in nine years when they defeated Neumann College this past Saturday, Nov. 8. The Cavaliers defeated the Knights 2-0 which brings them to an overall record of 15-3-2. The Cavs had earned the right to a home championship game by receiving the number one seed for the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoffs.

The Cabrini men's soccer team opened up conference play with a 5-2 win over the Centenary College Cyclones, Saturday Oct. 4. This brings the Cavaliers to an overall record of 6-2-2. Senior forward Mike McDevitt started the scoring early for the Cavaliers by netting a goal five minutes from the start of the game.

Traveling to another country was not something that seemed possible for the Cabrini women's soccer team. There was always talk about possibly doing a trip somewhere during summer 2008, but they knew it would be an immense amount of work and planning. With miraculous fund raising over the past year, they made a dream become a reality.

The Cavalier lacrosse school will be held for its second year here this summer. It will be directed by the head men's coach Steve Colfer, the head women's coach Jackie Neary and Bobbi Morgan, the head women's basketball coach at Cabrini. The camp is open to male and female players entering grades 3-9.

The Cabrini women's soccer team outscored their opponents 5-3 in their tournament at Lebanon Valley College on Sunday, April 20. They walked away from the day with a record of 1-1-2. The team played four strong teams including University of Scranton, Montclair State University, Lebanon Valley College and Muhlenberg College.

Sandefur looks to improve in future play

The Cabrini women's softball team is currently in fifth place in the Pennsylvania athletic conference. With an overall young team, the few upper classmen are taking on the leadership roles to guide them through the season. One of these upper classmen is junior psychology major, Kristie Sandefur, which makes her a perfect pick for this week's player profile.

The # 9-ranked Cabrini men's lacrosse team outscored their opponents 47-10 last week with wins over the Shenandoah University hornets on Tuesday, April 1 and the Alvernia College crusaders on Saturday April 5. These two wins bring the cavalier's conference record to 4-0 and an overall record of 8-2.
