You might see him giving a tour of the campus one Thursday morning. You might see him practicing for cross country at the Dixon Center. But you will most likely see him in his room playing with a guitar, practicing some songs for the next open mic night. His name is Chris Sweeney.

After begging mom for five more minutes numerous times, sitting on a crowded bus for what seemed like hours and frantically copying a friend's homework from the night before, the bell rings, which means the start of another day. Eight hours of school. Well, only four until recess.

If one were to sit on a bench behind the library at 9:30 on a Thursday night, one would witness the migration of numerous barely-clothed underclassmen making there way to the coveted Cabrini Apartment Complex before 10 p.m. Now this person on the bench must realize that if a student makes it inside the apartments before 10 p.

On Nov. 8 at a program called the Assembly of the Whole, students, faculty along with guest speakers, Father Belecki and President Iadarola gathered to acknowledge the recipients of the Mastronardi award, recognize Cabrini High school in New Orleans and take a tour through a tenement in Manhattans Lower East side in the late 19th century.

Last Wednesday I was patiently waiting in line at Jazzman's for my normal popcorn chicken salad, and as I waited and waited, I glanced down at my watch and saw that it was 3:54 p.m. and I had exactly six minutes to get to my room for 'Oprah.' I bet you thought this was going to be another redundant piece on Jazzman's.

We all did it. We came home from school on that fall day, rushed through dinner, and ran upstairs to get ready. We applied face paint, zipped up costumes and made sure we didn't lose that orange basket for all the candy we would receive and eat for the next two weeks.

As I sit at my desk and check my email one Thursday afternoon I come across my next assignment for the Loquitur. I am to write an article regarding the morning-after-pill and let the whole campus know if I think it should be an over the counter drug. My mind quickly remembers the many times I have heard the things to never discuss over family dinner.

For some people their favorite season is the one they are in but for others they choose their favorite based upon a certain holiday or memory that took place within one of the four. There are only four choices. Winter, spring summer and fall but just at the colors and temperatures change so do our individual moods with the presence of each new season.

Students, WYBF send packages to troops overseas

WYBF radio station with the help of student-lead organizations have been collecting supplies to send overseas to American troops stationed in Iraq. The radio station, WYBF, normally runs drives, collections and community service projects that concentrate on such services as providing food and clothing for the homeless in the area.
