‘Dear John’ brings tears to viewers’

Fans of "The Notebook" hit movie theaters everywhere to see another one of Nicholas Sparks' book-to-movie triumphs, "Dear John." The movie's cast included stars Channing Tatum, Amanda Seyfried and "Step Brothers" cast member, Richard Jenkins. This heartfelt romantic film deals with the trials and tribulations of a relationship burdened by war.

Even though “Dear John” is not rated high by the critics, many viewers and Nicholas Sparks fans everywhere deeply enjoy the movie.

Alumnus directs local theater

If a person wants to see a theater production in the Philadelphia area, they can turn to a place that they may not have thought of to begin with, the Iron Age Theatre. The Iron Age Theatre, located in Norristown, offers productions all year round. Its non-traditional performances are what separate it from other local venues.

Keeping faith and realizing the effects of our daily actions on others were the main purposes of the newly initiated faith week. Faith week was introduced to Cabrini College by Justice and Faith ministers, seniors Shannon Keough and Matt Slutz. Throughout the week, each night different activities were put together to get students involved.

Co-ed dorm rooms create new distraction for Syracuse students

Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y. has recently announced that starting in the fall 2010 semester they will be piloting co-ed suite dorm rooms. The rooms will have two bedrooms, one for the male and one for the female with a common area room.

New VP of Institutional Advancement appointed

Cabrini College named Sharon Kerrigan Loman the new vice president of Institutional Advancement. Loman began her new position at Cabrini on Aug. 31. The goal of the Institutional Advancement office at Cabrini College is to build relationships and raise money for the college.

Women’s volleyball remains undefeated

The Cabrini College women's volleyball team beat Cedar Crest College with a score of 3-0 on Saturday, Oct. 17. This was the lady Cavs fifth consecutive win and they still remain undefeated in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. "It feels really good to be undefeated in the CSAC," Lizzie Williams, senior pre-med major, said.
