The lady Cavs traveled to St. Petersburg for spring break to train and get ready for their upcoming 2009 season. Every once in a while, a book will come along that will shock, yet deeply impact readers. "The Boy Who Fell From the Sky," a memoir by Ken Dornstein, is a captivating and enthralling novel that retraces the lasting affects of one man's tragic death. Dornstein lost his older brother, David, in the tragic Pan Am Flight that crashed over Lockerbie, Scotland in December of 1988.

The Cabrini women's lacrosse team hosted a basketball tournament on Sunday, Nov. 23, in the Dixon Center. Fifty-five students and friends came out to support the women's lacrosse team by playing in three vs. three half court games. Senior captain Anna Scholl organized the entire event.

Men’s soccer comes up short at Albright

The Cabrini men's soccer team played it's last non-conference game Saturday, Oct. 18, coming up short against Albright College 1-0. The Cavalier's had a total of 14 shots in the contest but Albright finished a shot in the 80 minute to win the game. "We didn't capitalize early in the game and it came back to haunt us," Brian Moran, junior history political science major, said.

McDevitt ‘early season MVP’ for men’s soccer

Senior co-captain Mike McDevitt is no stranger to the game of soccer. He has been playing soccer since he was 5-years-old and has continued playing ever since. Since playing two years on varsity at Father Judge High School for Coach John Dunlop. McDevitt played one year at Philadelphia University and then transferred to Cabrini where he has been part of the team ever since.

When it's time for kids to leave for college, they're usually excited to live on their own-no rules, no parents, no curfew. The only thing they aren't excited for is the small dorm rooms. A lot of us here in the states think we have it bad. We usually complain about not having enough room and that it's dirty, but kids across the world in Beijing, China have it a lot worse.

Spin class promises a sweat

The newest addition to the Dixon Center exercise schedule is the spin class on Wednesday nights from 5 to 6 p.m. taught by Morgan Lambert. "I didn't know how much of a challenge riding a stationary bike would be but this class proved that it was no easy ride," Lauren Magill, senior psychology major, said.
