Shrek 2 Grossing just over $108 million in its opening weekend, Shrek 2 succeeded in producing a sequel which was more then a pathetic flop compared to it predecessor. Adding "new" lovable characters from some of our favorite stories and fairytales of youth, such as Puss In Boots (Antonio Banderas), Fairy Godmother (Jennifer Saunders), and even Prince Charming himself (Rupert Everett), Shrek 2 is the continuing story of troubled ogre romance and hilarious slapstick humor surely not intended for children.

Lancaster Ave. While Minella's is more expensive if one wishes to have dinner there, the penny-pinching college student will be ecstatic to know that Minella's diner serves breakfast all day long.

It's the end of the year and that of course means three things here at Cabrini College; the seniors are (hopefully) graduating, finals are just around the corner and of course, Spring Fling weekend. Normally Spring Fling is held on the commons but this year it was fenced in behind the Mansion.

Student suffers heart attack at Slipknot show According to VH1, a 21 year old senior suffered a heart attack at a Slipknot concert and died four days later. Alecia Holst had no history of heart trouble and experienced a arrhythmia at the show during the Jagermeister Music Tour.

The memory of a friend lives on

In 1983, seven of my mom's friends gave birth. I was the second-to-last born and the only girl of the group. Growing up, we were all good friends, even though some of us were more attached than others. Mark and Tony were the best friends I had throughout my childhood.

Commencement relocation causes confusion for graduating seniors

Lacrosse dresses for 2004

It's 4 p.m., on a Monday night and a thunderous growl, along with heavy panting, can be heard on the Dixon Center's track located above the basketball court. The sound is coming from this season's Cabrini men's lacrosse team. The team starts its practice by attempting to run 15 laps around the track in under 11 minutes.

Why do Philadelphia teams always choke? Before you start throwing batteries at me, as some Philly fans are known to do, hear me out. Yes I enjoy seeing the Eagles with a seven-game winning streak or the Flyers in the playoffs and things like that. What I've noticed, however, grates on my last nerve.

Opera showcases foreign languages in mansion

The clock ticked to 7:30 p.m. The mansion lobby had been converted into a mini concert setting. More than 10 rows of chairs were set up in the middle of the floor, and they were all packed. Random chairs, couches and loveseats had been in back of the chairs and off to the side.

RHA: little voices, big ideas

RHA won't let setbacks stop them. So far this year the Residence Hall Association has worked through obtaining a new advisor, some members leaving to study abroad, and having one of the students' top concerns denied. RHA is an organization that doubles as a soundboard for resident students' concerns, and also provides activities and programs for the campus community.

Hockey fans struggle to find alternatives

A year long lock-out of ice hockey has been devastating. For a person who doesn't like to watch football or basketball on TV, having no hockey as an alternative is disheartening. The pro hockey players' bitter battle with the NHL and the players' union has put hockey lovers at a great disadvantage.

Blinding gaudy carpet lines the floors and mirrors line the top of the walls and some of the ceilings at mid-eye level neon lights guide gamblers to beeping slot machines. A barrage of country fans, who are easy to spot due to their cowboy hats, boots and big shiny belt buckles, are weaving through crowds of senior citizens bussed up from surrounding areas to spend their nickels and quarters in hopes of hitting a jackpot.

Satisfying a Cabrini student is never possible

When a student lives on campus, it is almost impossible to satisfy them and practically mandatory for said student to find something to complain about everyday. Here at Cabrini we have an over abundance of complaints and annoyances. However, we have also been answered in a few of our complaints.

It's a muggy Friday night at the Wachovia center and the seats are hardly sold out. A black tarp blankets the entire second level of seats and the sections behind the stage are covered as well. The seats that are available seem to be full for the most part.

Organizations promote

This year, the Office of Student Activities has received a 59 percent increase in their budget. As a result, they are allowed to approve more new student organizations. The two newest student-run organizations of the year are the Republican National Committee of Cabrini and the Student Democrat Association.
