Cavs advance to 8-6 in PAC

On Monday., Feb. 11 the men's basketball team defeated Neumann College 67-48 in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference play. The Cavaliers improve to 11-12, 8-6 in the PAC. Leading the Cavaliers was senior Randy Reid with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Glenn Washington also recorded 14 points for the team.

Randy Reid became one of the select few basketball players in Cabrini's history to score over 1,000 points in his college career on Monday, Jan. 14 during Cabrini's loss to Alvernia College. Although the Cavaliers lost the game by five points, Cabrini head coach Greg Herenda said that they still played an impressive game.

PAC All-Conference Team honors four women players

The fall season for the Cabrini women's soccer team came to a disappointing close with a 6-0 fall to arch rival and No.1 seed Eastern University in the semi-finals of the PAC Conference Championships on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at Eastern. But while there may have been a bit of unrest about the Cavaliers' short changed playoff season, there was still a lot of pride to be taken in the diligence of the team and the stellar performances of several Cabrini players in both the Conference Championships and throughout the regular season.

Women’s swimming wins tri-meet

The phrase "killing two birds with one stone" perfectly describes the Cabrini women's swim team's double victory against both King's College and the College of Notre Dame in their second meet of the season on Saturday, Nov. 3 at King's College. And if that wasn't enough to set the Cavaliers up for perhaps their best season yet, the six school records broken by new Cabrini freshman swimmers certainly added fuel to the fire.

Carolyn Wilson didn't want any surprises to interfere with her senior performance at the 2007 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championships. After two consecutive undefeated seasons and a PAC player-of-the-year nomination at stake, it seemed only natural to read up on the competition she would face in the final tournament of her senior year.

While no one, especially an aspiring college graduate, likes to admit it, almost three quarters of today's college students confess to using drugs and alcohol on a weekly, if not daily basis. According to a recent report released by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA), the percentage of college students who binge drink, categorized as the consumption of five or more servings of alcohol per night for males, and four or more for females, has almost doubled in the past decade to 69 percent and rising.
