Students display works of art in Holy Spirit Library

by Maria Chambers staff writer The graphic design and the fine arts departments came together this past weekend with an art gallery displaying works of many Cabrini students. The gallery opened Sunday April 28th from 3 to 5 p.m. with a reception and will be displayed on second floor of the Holy Spirit Library until May 18th.

Sem 300’s ‘Urban Education’ ends with Banquet

Thursday, May 2nd, the Sem 300 course ended their service with a banquet and provided entertainment for the students they have been tutoring all semester. The afternoon started out with refreshments and swimming in the Dixon center, followed by an improv show, which was performed by Cabrini's own Improv Troupe, "On the Spot.

Make Way for the Musical Stylings of Mcgowan on 89.1 f.m. The Burn

Playing live shows throughout the Philadelphia and tri-state area, Mcgowan makes his way to Cabrini. This musician will be playing a concert, Thursday, April 25th, in the Red Cloud Theatre, which is located in the Grace Hall Atrium. Mcgowan feels his music is heartfelt and honest.

Career Fairs: the search is on

Graduation is right around the corner and many seniors are not prepared to take on the world right away. Some seniors are looking for summer jobs while others plan to relax after all the stresses of preparing for graduation. Overall, there seems to be a lot of indecision among many seniors as far as what to do after college.

‘Two Gentlemen of Verona’

"Two Gentleman of Verona" was performed at Cabrini over two weekends in March in the Grace Hall Atrium, instead of in the tiny theatre space that has been provided for them to use. "Popcorn," the last play that was performed in the Red Cloud Theatre, required less people, and all the players did not have to be on stage throughout the entire performance.

The scripts have been thrown out the window, burned to ashes, and spat upon. That's right, they do not use scripts to make you laugh until you cry. Cabrini College's Improv Troupe has been around for several years now, but they are becoming more and more popular around campus, and a lot funnier.

When I was a little girl (not that I'm so very old now) I would go over my cousin's house and we would watch Saturday morning cartoons. I distinctly remember my cousin Michelle yelling at me because I refused to watch "Care Bears" with her, but "Transformers" was on at the same time and right after that was "Thundercats.

Hard work and dedication pays off for O’Neill

As a senior, Cathy O'Neil has put in hours of hard work and dedication to the Cabrini College Women's Soccer Team. She has been a part of the Cabrini Women's team since her freshman year here and she has been playing soccer since she was five- years- old. When she first got to college, O'Neil said it was hard to balance schoolwork and playing sports, but by senior year she was used to taking on multiple tasks.

McDonough makes it through

Throughout her college career she gave her all to her classes, her friends and her love of the game: Field Hockey. Melissa McDonough has been playing Field Hockey since she was in seventh grade. On Cabrini's team she played defense. McDonough said the girls on her team were very supportive and a great group of friends.

Guitar is her passion, money’s not her fashion

Music is my passion. When I have my guitar in my hands, I am fearless. I am shameless. I am free. Playing guitar is my favorite outlet for my emotions. When I'm angry or upset my guitar is always right there for me to hold. My guitar is my best friend. I started playing guitar about four and a half years ago.
