Transfer student brings skills from across the country

Kevin Chenoweth is the newest member of Cabrini's men's lacrosse team. The transfer student is from Whittier College in California. Chenoweth is a junior from Coronado, Calif. where he played for Coronado High and was named All- American his senior year. During his lacrosse career, Chenoweth has played on multiple select teams and been named most valuable player and top defensive player by Great Western Lacrosse.

Drop under tongue could replace needles for flu vaccination

A drop of vaccine that is given under the tongue may one day be available for the flu, a virus that affects 10 to 20 percent of Americans each year. The sublingual (under the tongue) vaccine has only been tested on mice in Asia but appears to be more effective than current vaccines available to humans.

Program reaches out to students in Norristown

Cabrini College has always been a school strongly involved in the community and service projects helping those in need, making a community involvement course a requirement for graduation. Due to the amount of outreach work done by the Cabrini community, last fall Cabrini College was awarded a three-year grant from the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Minority Health to conduct a program to high school students in Norristown.
