Nicotine levels on the rise

Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health have found that levels of nicotine in cigarettes have increased over a seven-year period from 1998-2005. The state of Massachusetts requires all cigarette manufactures to file annual reports on nicotine yield and cigarette designs related to nicotine delivery.

McNabb takes a stab at a clothing line

Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb is following in the footsteps of Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. Already the face of Campbell's Chunky Soup, early last month he unveiled his new signature apparel collection, the Super Five clothing line along with Reebok, the exclusive on-field and sideline apparel provider for the National Football League.

In a town that has not seen a professional sports championship since 1983 every playoff loss is magnified. The vehemence of every criticism leveled by both the fans and the dreaded media increase with each off-season. Philadelphia is a blue collar city that is known for embracing the underdog (see Rocky I-V and Rocky Balboa) and its rabid loyal fan base.

Borat doesn’t live up to all of the hype

I am skeptical of any movie whose hype comes mainly from the internet. "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" found an initial following from many internet communities. I find it hard to share in the excitement of a movie that develops a cult following through the internet.

Halloween is right around the corner, and with it comes the fun of costumes. It is the time of year where people have a chance to express themselves in whatever manner they choose. For my first Halloween, I was a classic cartoon character. I choose Popeye and had the big forearms and a can of spinach and at the end of my night I told my father that I might even try the can of spinach I was carrying around the whole night.
