Cabrini College recently welcomed a new member, Deana DiAmico, to one of its most exclusive clubs, the 1,000 Point Club.
DiAmico started playing basketball at the age of 3. Her mother, Sheila DiNardo, once a scholarship basketball player for Wilmington University, would take Deanna with her to practice every day.
Bishop Timothy Senior, Auxiliary Bishop for the Diocese of Philadelphia, honored the Cabrini community with a visit and celebration mass on Sunday, Nov. 22.
Bishop Senior was elevated to his current position by Pope Benedict back in May and was formally ordained on July 31 by Cardinal Justin Rigali.
Calling all cheerleaders! With Spirit Week fast approaching, Cabrini needs its cheerleaders to step up their game and lead the student body in building school spirit.
Student Government, the dance team and other school organizations are preparing to do their part to create an energized Cabrini campus, so it would be disappointing if the cheerleaders stayed sitting on the sidelines instead of leading the calls.
In what was almost a shutout until the last nine seconds of the game when the Lady Cavaliers trounced their local rival Rosemont College 6-1.
The younger girls on the team came up strong with five out of the six goals being scored by freshmen and sophomores.
