The men's lacrosse team beat Hampden-Sydney College 18-11 on Saturday, March 14. The Cavs came back and scored 13 goals throughout the second half. The Cavs rendered their first loss against Lynchburg College, Va. 16-11 on their way to spring break training in Wrightsville Beach, N.

The Cabrini women's basketball team clinched their division, earning a first round playoff bye after beating Immaculata University 64-48 on Thursday, Feb. 19. They are currently 21-4 at the end of their Colonial States Athletic Conference regular season schedule.

The Cabrini men's lacrosse team will kick off their season ranked third in the country. They left last season with an overall record of 17-3, after their loss against Salisbury University in the NCAA quarterfinals, just two games away from a championship.

The women's basketball team's focus on improving their rebounds paid off against Centenary College College, winning by a score of 78-52 in the Nerney Field House on Feb. 3. The Cavs stole their seventh consecutive win and remain unbeaten against Colonial States Athletic Conference opponents.

The Cabrini Dance Team participated in their first dance festival at West Chester University on Saturday, Jan. 24. With the help of Dr. Michelle Filling, English professor and Cabrini's new Dance Team coach, the girls were able to submit a successful audition tape and made it in the highly competitive competition over many other schools in the Philadelphia area.

It started out as a simple idea, a big "what if," a joke among friends. However, slowly but surely, the idea became reality. The men's lacrosse club has become a part of the National College Lacrosse League. The club was originally founded by juniors Ryan Kaysen and Tom Hayes earlier last year in order for their group of friends to continue playing the sport they love.

Basketball season is officially underway as the annual Cavalier Tip-off took place on Friday, Oct. 30. Students flocked to the Dixon Center decked out in Cabrini gear to bring in the 2008-09 basketball season. Both the cheerleading and dance team cheered at the front door while the crowd marched in.

The score was not important in the second annual Nick Colleluori classic on Saturday, Oct. 11. The men's lacrosse team stepped on the turf at Ridley High School to play against Villanova and Saint Joe's University to support and spread awareness about the Headstrong Foundation.
