Pajama craze sweeps academia

Living on a college campus gives an entirely new meaning to the phrase "just rolled out of bed." When your classroom is barely a two-minute walk away from your bedroom it is tempting to come to class in your pajamas. Students and professors here at Cabrini seem to agree that pajamas have become an accepted early morning fashion.

The Fugees take it easy

After almost a decade of silence, the Fugees have spoken once again. The Fugees, who include Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel, have had more hits than one. Now, with another hit on the way, the trio and their groups label, Sony Records, has set a date in late December for their new untitled album.

Tell on your friends

At Cabrini, the fire alarm is pulled one too many times by the wise guys who are apparently looking for attention from their friends or trying to be the "cool kid." I can remember the alarm being pulled more than a handful of times in Xavier my freshman year.

Teachers to be recognized

Everyone knows that good teaching is an art and Cabrini seems to produce many of these so-called "good teachers." Students, when asked who were the good professors, were very quick to produce a set of criteria on what they believed made a college instructor special in their eyes.

Ravishing restaurants you can afford

Burger King! Taco Bell! Wendy's! Campus Corner! Hell no, I won't go!!! Tired of the same old thing? Lucky for you, after much in-depth investigating, I have come up with a list of affordable alternatives that wont break the bank. Being college students we have the innate nature of being cheap.

Evolution debate raging in local district court

History seems to be repeating itself as the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg hears a case involving the mandatory exposure of students to the theory of intelligent design. Last year the Dover Township School Board voted for an addition to the science curriculum that mandated that biology teachers read their students a piece on the theory of intelligent design before teaching evolution theory in class.

Editorial: In 2005, racism still alive at Cabrini

Recently, there have been repeated incidents in Xavier Hall where hateful and derogatory terms were written on community walls for all residents to see. Not only does this action bring awkwardness and inconvenience to the dormitory residents involved, but also causes embarrassment for those that have any affiliation with the school.
