Seniors celebrating the end of an era

"Commencement Kick-Off", is mandatory for all graduates in order to graduate. For one of the first times in Cabrini's history since I have been here has something been mandatory. Apparently, commencement kick-off must be important. Well, indeed people it is, it was the mark of roughly just three little weeks until the senior class of 2003 graduates.

Battle of the bars

Imagine walking into a bar and the prices of the drinks were similar to that of the dollar menu at McDonalds. Life would be wonderful, bartenders would be rich and college students would forever be drunk. Unfortunately, it does not work that way and most bars cost an arm and six legs to purchase a drink.

Musicians jamming to their own beat

When it comes to musicians, everyone has their own taste in music. Some have a groove that fits them and some just like to play, no strings attached. Here on campus, there are many aspiring musicians finding their groove or hitting the road solo. Junior Quincy Adams and sophomore Rob Cain are two musicians with talents that come from both sides of this equation.

Duffy chooses Cabrini second time around

Think you know the Cabrini College men's tennis team, bet you don't. See if you can guess who this tennis pro is- hint number one: he is a former member of the number one division II men's tennis team at Rollins College in Orlando, Fla. Hint number two: he has been playing tennis since he was five, working his way up through the United States Tennis Association tournaments from the time he was 12 until he was 18.

Weather causes golf cancellations

Due to bad weather conditions, the last three Cabrini men's golf team matches were canceled. The season started on the first week in April. Snow and rain plagued the team. In summarizing the cancellations, head coach Tony Verde said, "It's been terrible." Despite all the cancellations, the golf team plays three times a week.

Clarifications on Protest story

The following people were quoted in the article "Conflict at passive protest," which appeared in the April 3 issue. They wished to clarify statements attributed to them as well as aspects of the story. -- Perspectives editors. The quote is inaccurate. I used the pronoun "we" instead of "I" and explained that I was speaking on behalf of the group at the die-in, because they were not speaking and asked me to represent the group Additionally, part of the quote I stated on behalf of the group was that Iadorola talked at length with the other group but did not come over to talk to us.

Conflict at passive protest

Different opinions were expressed as students voiced their feelings regarding the war with Iraq outside Founders Hall on Wednesday, March 26. Conflicting viewpoints were evident as students formed two separate groups of protestors, anti-war and pro-america.

Cavs lose 6-5 in overtime

The emotions ran high and were quenched after a few minutes into overtime as Marymount topped the Cavaliers 6-5 on a rain-soaked field. "I'm obviously disappointed with the team's performance. We didn't play well," head coach Steve Colfer said. Marymount came ready to play on a very dark and cloudy day.

Health fair returns for 15th year

Celebrating its 15th year at Cabrini College, the Health Fair will be held on Thursday, April 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the foyer of the Dixon Center. This year will introduce two brand new vendors from Penn Medicine and Penn Eye Care and a special visit from Main Line Psychics.

‘Real world’ meets the real world

If only your job at the design agency could be like Grace's on "Will and Grace" where everybody is joking around all day long.
