Winter Movie Reviews

"My Baby's Daddy" Six dollars and seventy-five cents was wasted on the 86-minute, PG-13, so-called comedy "My Babys Daddy," starring Anthony Anderson, Michael Imperioli, Eddie Griffin and Method Man, . Set in local Philadelphia, three guys face the frightening job of fatherhood when they find out that their girlfriends are pregnant, coincidentally all at the same time.

First season success

Immersed in the overwhelming heat of the large pool area of the campus' Dixon Center, six women line posed alongside the water's edge, waiting patiently for coach Michael Kernicky to bark out instructions. They slide gracefully into the water; hardly making a sound, dressed down in their bathing suits, swim caps and goggles.

Athletes do what they want

It's been touched on briefly before: Athletic exemption. On college campuses, it's to leave class early for practice. But, in the larger sports world, does that exception refer to criminal charges? The debate about the Kobe Bryant rape case is that he'll walk.

Junior has upbeat attitude on season

Christina Paster, fast-paced field hockey player with the soft, shy voice flutters from games to class and back to the dorm where she finally has time to grant a short but satisfying interview. Paster is a native of Boyertown, Pa. and attended the local high school.

Death by chocolate

Sitting in the candlelit dining hall of the Mansion, attendants at the annual Murder Mystery dinner were in tune to what some of the talkative guests at the Les Pommes restaurant had to say. The setting: Les Pommes Restaurant;Baltimore, Maryland; 1948. After the long hours of planning and advertising went into this year's Murder Mystery dinner, as part of the Campus Activities and Programming Board's Shocktoberfest, only 50 spots were available for students who wished to attend the event.

Hidden voices being heard

Dear Minority Student, Let's face it: Cabrini isn't the most diverse campus in the college community. It's not exactly a microcosm of the outside world. It's a sheltered environment, in which one can feel out-numbered. The college does try to add a little diversity with various minority-based groups like Ethnic Student Alliance.

Stop the splurging and money spending

"Save your pennies!" was something I would constantly hear my parents saying. I regret not taking their advice seriously. I listened, but I had a serious issue with money burning a hole in my pocket. Before I even received my next pay check, the previous one would be gone.

Students fail to do ‘laundry process’

Free laundry facilities. Leaky hoses. Missing clothes. "The water on the floor was disgusting. I'm glad they fixed it," freshman Michele E. Lester said. There seems to be many mixed emotions about the laundry facilities located in the dorms and houses, which are provided by Cabrini College.

College rank has little affect on choice

he rank of a college has little to no significance to the average perspective student. In fact, very few students are concerned with ranking they find information on activities, academics and clubs more interesting. It is the students' parents who are more concerned with college's overall standings, according to the U.

King Caf loses to junior Jazzman’s

So now we have a champion and the challenger: In this corner, the campus culinary experiment, Jazzman's. And in the other, the traditional cafeteria, which is fighting to keep abreast with the food demands of the student body. But is the cafeteria in the wrong weight division? Does it have enough stamina and strength to out-maneuver Jazzman's the upstart challenger? I don't think so.
