Something healthy for that sweet craving

Open for three weeks now, YogoSano, a new organic yogurt shop,offers healthy Italian treats.Yogo Sano offers one flavor of yogurt thatis a sweet Italian tart flavor. Both low fat andfat-free yogurts are available.With each yogurt purchase you receive onetopping. The toppings to choose from includechocolate covered raisins, M&M’s, rainbowsprinkles, pistachios, almonds, granola, whiteand dark chocolate shavings, chocolate syrup,hazelnut crisp, nutella rock, sour cherries, forrestberry(different berries mashed up), honey,blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberriesand pineapple.The yogurt tastes different depending onwhich toppings you put on them.With one other store in California, this is thefirst one on the east coast. The owner of theyogurt phenomena is Ray Khorram.Frequent buyer cards are offered. Thesecards allow you to buy 10 yogurts and then getone free.

This will hopefully keep costumerscoming back in for more.“My favorite thing about Yogo Sano is howclean it is and how good the yogurt is. My familyand I love that this place offers an organicoption,” Monica Smith, Wayne resident, said.“Girls from across the street come in frequentlyand they always get the same thing,”DJ Beach, employee said. “My favorite toppingsare usually the sprinkles or hazelnut.”Employees Caroline Layfield and CrystalCardano enjoy strawberries and pineapple astheir choice of toppings.“The most common things to mix is strawberrieswith something else and chocolate granolawith fruit and honey,” Beach said.The USDA-certified organic yogurt does not include hormones, antibiotics, rBST and is glutenfree. The yogurt is high in omega-3 DHA,vitamin d, calcium and inulin, which is a naturalprebiotic fiber.“The yogurt company in California wherethe idea came from has been around for severnor eight years but the organic aspect just started,”Khorram said.“We bought the name from an Italian dairyfarm company that was going out of business,”Khorram said.“This is a very good location. People hereare more health conscious,” Khorram said.“They are also more upscale and educated.”
