Was Thanksgiving break not enough?
Do not worry because Christmas break is right around the corner.
This is the last full week of the semester.
Many people are looking forward to going home to see the people that they did not get to see over Thanksgiving break.
Christmas break is one of the happiest times for college students. They get a break from school. They get to see all of their friends, families and possibly significant other. Most importantly they get to be home.
Christmas break means that Christmas is right around the corner. It is the happiest time of the year. Christmas lights, decorating the tree and just doing fun holiday things with the people you love. Justin Juliano a senior business administration major does not have much planned for break. Juliano is excited for Christmas, especially Christmas Eve at his house. He is Italian, so he looks forward to the famous seven fish dinner, but more importantly, when Santa comes.
“I dress up as Santa Claus every Christmas Eve and bring the kids and adults presents,” Juliano said. “We film this every year because the memories we have are just great.”
Like many people during break, they look forward to Christmas, but many look forward to just un-wind and relax. Most college students have been going for the entire semester that majority of them take the word break to heart.
But finding that right balance between resting and spending time with people could just be the perfect mixture for a wonderful Christmas break. Jess Pepenella who is a senior american studies and psychology major likes to balance both of those. Pepenella said, “I like to spend time with people who I haven’t seen in awhile.”
Also, this break reunites many couples who have been away from each other for awhile. “I can’t wait to see my boyfriend and go do things as a couple, like go ice skating,” Pepenella said.
Christmas break may not be merry for everyone. Many kids will not rest, instead they will go home and work. Sometimes they will go back to school to work. Jess Pepenella stated that after New Years she is going to be back here working for Admissions.
Hopefully everyone will enjoy the break that they can make the best of it. Be merry and jolly and have a wonderful break!
