With the release of her new fashion line for Khol’s, this is the week for MTV actress, Lauren Conrad. Conrad has been laying low after her leave of absence from the beloved MTV show, “The Hills,” in 2009. With the release of two new books, one which focuses specifically on style, Conrad has finally made her mark as a genuine style icon. Her new fall line hit stores this week and the feminine-inspired look really does describe what Lauren Conrad is all about. Most pieces from her collection include details like lace, ruffles and floral prints.
Dud of the Week
Another Kohl’s celebrity designer who isn’t doing so well is Britney Spears. Spears jumped on the band wagon as a celebrity-turned-designer when she created her new junior’s line, “Britney for Candie’s.” Although Spears was really proud of her line made especially for young girls, the line turned out to be a flop. It’s a good thing Spears attempted to come back with her appearance on the hit show “Glee.” Britney attempted to completely change the Candie’s clothing line which was obviously not a good move on her part.
