Parties are a good way to fun in College. Every month there is a party held on a Friday or Saturday night. They start at 10 p.m. and last to 1 a.m. They’re usually held in Grace Hall or in the Mansion and they’re often hosted by the Cabrini University Black Student Union (BSU), ICavs Step Team, the Dance Team or many other clubs and organizations on campus.
Kesiah Vaughan, sophomore education major, gave her opinion on the parties on campus.
“The parties are fun and crowded. But they ultimately give you a good time. It’s a good opportunity to have some fun at Cabrini.” Vaughan said.
Vaughan points that going to the parties is a good social experiment for some college students.
“I think the parties here are great. We have a good DJ and good music that everyone can dance to. But, it would be better if they had more parties in the mansion and if they started a little earlier and ended a little later.” sophom0re social work major Brielle Harrison.
From Harrison’s point of view, the parties seem to be fun but seemed to be quick and rushed, which isn’t a good way to enjoy a party.
Chandlin Crawford, junior computer science major, also goes to parties on campus.
“Well honestly depending on which party you go to because not every party is not meant for everyone. If you go to a BSU or Step team party you hear mostly hip-hop music and you have a bigger crowd. But if you go to a Cheerleader party you hear pop music and mostly not a big crowd. Different parties have different genres of music and it plays a big part of how the parties are. But the parties are ok and I enjoy them.” Crawford said.
The type of music seems to an. important factor of how the party will turn out.. Everyone has their perferences when it comes to music the music they like.
“The parties I went to off campus are different then the parties on campus. I went to parties at Villanova and Temple and they play a variety of music and have bigger crowds. So really Cabrini’s parties can’t compete with the other parties because they give off a better energy.” Crawford said.
Crawford enjoys both on campus parties and off campus parties. From his point of view you can have fun whether at an on campus party or off campus party.
The next party on campus is the Homecoming dance hosted by Pura Vida. The party will be located in Grace Hall on Saturday Sept. 28. With the incoming festivities this incoming weekend, the party should be successful that night.
