Live and Learn series helps bring down stress level

Live and Learn Series is part of Healthy Monday, a prompt to start and continue healthy behaviors, intentions, actions and initiatives. This is to get students to start healthy habits and to keep continuing them in their life style.

If you don’t know what Healthy Monday is, it is a non-profit public health program for students, staff and faculty. This was founded in 2005 with Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University and Syracuse University. This is to get everyone to start healthy behaviors and to have a goal that they want to reach. Cabrini College thought this would be a great idea to start Healthy Mondays.

Dining Services, the Dixon Center, Health Services, Counseling Services and Health and Wellness Education each sponsor Healthy Monday.

Cabrini had a Live and Learn Series on Monday, March 18, “Mindful Mat/Ball Pilates” with Linda Shikatino in the Aerobic Room, located in the Dixon Center.

Mindful Mat/ Ball Pilates is to help calm your mind and to stretch your body. If you were really stressed out about school and other things, this class would help bring down your stress level. Just Pilates the class itself just helps bring down the stress level.
