King of Prussia mall expansion…for better or for worse?

Think you had the layout of the King of Prussia mall figured out?

Guess again because now there is an expansion built right next to Dick’s sporting goods.

The King of Prussia Mall is visited by many people each and every day. Their main flow of customers consists of people from the surrounding towns, college and high school students and even people from out of state.

Now, with 450 retail and dining options, the King of Prussia mall has become the largest mall on the Eastern Seaboard.

One of the mall’s main goals was to make the experience of shopping as easy as possible.

A parking garage has been built to keep the flow of cars at a minimum and to maintain organization. The mall will even offer a valet service to its customers.

“I think it is awesome! It definitely made more options available to their customers. I have not seen any of the new stores yet but I know either way it’s a great addition to the King of Prussia mall,” Victoria Hall, a junior business major, said.

Cabrini offers a shuttle for students to get to and from locations and the mall is one of them. Many people who do not have cars on campus take advantage of this luxury.

But everyone may not agree that this expansion is for the best.

Do some of the employees working at the mall think otherwise?

“I think the expansion could help with [the] flow of customers but could also be a huge headache. With this happening, it will bring in lots of traffic. Plus, people don’t know what is in the new expansion, so it will cause more people to visit and ask questions,” an employee at Model’s said.

With varying opinions, another employee at the mall had some thoughts to share.

“I think the expansion is great. I have another store [Claire’s] on the court side and this has been bringing in more business which is great,” they said.
