I am very offended by the “top story” written by John Halloway in the latest edition of the Loquitur. I am a graduate of Cabrini College as well as a former member of the Mens lacrosse team. The sexual connotations within the article are extremely offensive and feel that there should be a retraction of the article or a written apology issued by the Staff. To publicly slander a school group by making homosexual references is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated by the College administration or fellow alumni.
To Mr. Halloway the writer of the article I am sure that you must have quite the social life on Cabrini campus. Have you stepped out of your dorm room and away from you PC for long enough to experience the world beyond Cabrini’s walls? In your short lived journalism career had you ever thought to tell both sides of the story rather that publicly blasting a group. Or are there deeper underlying issues that you have with the lacrosse team. Are you jealous because they date the women that you desire, party and have fun the way you wish you could but are held back by your social downfalls? There must be more then a stray ball that came ever so close to striking your crony. Please John, do enlighten me.
Although I graduated from Cabrini in 2002 I do know members of the lacrosse team and would vouch for them any day. My younger sister was considering attending school at Cabrini in the honors program (for some of us are not knuckle draggers as J.H. would have you believe) but I will call and advise her to look elsewhere, for her mind will be cluttered with a front page articles like ‘Grab your shaft It’s shower time” written by Mr. Halloway.
