Life inside house 5

Of the many places on Cabrini’s campus to live, some are considered better than others. Choosing where you live is a very important decision because it’s one that can affect a student for an entire semester or two.

The Casey house or “house five” as most call it, is one of seven houses offered for students to live in. House five this current year offers housing only for female residents.

“You have to be an upperclassmen to live in a house so you don’t have to worry about signing people in,” Gabrielle Tinoco, sophomore elementary and special education major, said.

Some features about the housing in Casey house that are different from others are the larger kitchen quarters, furnished basement and a lounge on the first floor.

Living in a house has its ups and downs. Although students don’t have to sign people in, less people live in houses so the full “college experience” isn’t usually reflected in these living conditions.

House five also has a ping pong table in the basement. “The residents enjoy the basement by watching different movies or shows,” Tinoco said.
