On Sunday, Nov. 4, Dolce Suono Trio made an appearance at Cabrini College. Dolce Suono Trio consists of 15 members, which includes their artistic director, Mimi Stillman.
Dolce Suono Trio was created in 2005 and plays chamber music concerts in home series in the Philadelphia area. At the concert, the trio consisted of Mimi Stillman, Charles Abramovic and Matthew Levy, who just joined the trio for some performances.
“I used to listen to this type of music a lot when I was little. My mom and I used to go to the Academy of Music and we really enjoyed watching this kind of concert. I might be getting back into this after tonight’s performance, they were very good,” said freshman Stanley Thompson.
Dolce Suono Trio’s music goes from Baroque to contemporary. Dolce Suono Trio has produced 23 world premieres in seven seasons by some of today’s most eminent composers, consisting of Shulamit Ran, Steven Stucky, Richard Danielpour and Steven Mackey.
