Having a snow day in college is something that everyone loves to have. It is a day full of relaxing, catching up on assignments, having fun hanging out with friends and playing in the snow.

“I got to spend the day being lazy and just relax with all my friends. It was fun, we all gathered around and watched movies together,” sophomore Julianna Longo said. “We made hot chocolate and stayed in our PJs. It reminded me of the stuff I did with my friends in high school.”

It may not be surprising but many student are not even mad that they missed their classes.

“I was not mad at all about having a snow day. I really wanted one,” sophomore Sam Dahlberg said. “I love having a snow day. If it snows enough I love to play in it like a little kid again.”

Though, some students did not like the fact that it snowed and they had to miss class.

“I didn’t like it but I like it at the same time because it means that we won’t be behind in our school work,” junior Paige Wagner said. “I also liked it because I got to lock myself in the MAC lab in founders all day to get my work done and catch up on everything so that I can spend the rest of the weekend with no worries.”

When it snows students love exploring campus and seeing its rare form. They admire and take it in as long as they can.

“I like walking around campus with my friends when the campus looks like this. One thing I love the most about this school is how it looks when seasons change and especially when it snows,” sophomore Tyree Holmes said.

Students need and love having a snow day every now and then. Being able to relax and enjoy the time off from classes helps with their mentality.
