The Cabrini College men’s golf team finished its regular season with a fourth place out of nine team finish at the Swarthmore Quad No. 3 at Rolling Green Golf Club.
The team posted a score of 320 which pushed them to finish 11 strokes behind the host team Garnet. Freshman Michael Rojas led the Cavaliers with a round of 76 on the par 71 6,695 yard course as it helped them to finish fifth.
Fellow teammate Dan Gentilucci placed 11th, as he fired a round of 79. Senior Erik Fischer shot an 82, while fellow seniors Rob Bass and Pat Rooney carded matching rounds of 83. Kevin Sarlo of Rutgers-Camden secured individual honors with a round of 72, beating Swarthmore’s Michael Chen and Sam White by one stroke.
The Cavaliers will be returning to the golf course on Friday when they tee up at the 2014 CSAC Championship. This two day event will open at 11 a.m. at the Lebanon Country Club in Lebanon, Pa. The winning team in this event will receive the CSAC’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
