Batman, “The Dark Knight Rises” – Movie Review

By Corey Frizzera
September 12, 2012

The word “Batman” was the talk of the summer.  The much-anticipated, newest Batman movie, “The Dark Knight Rises” released this past July in theaters around the country.  It received great reviews from movie critics and it was the hottest movie of the summer.  The film predominately received positive reviews from around the country and has already grossed over $1 billion worldwide.

“The Dark Knight Rises” is currently the tenth highest grossing film of all time and the second highest grossing film of 2012.  It is the third and final installment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman film trilogy.  This movie is full of action-packed scenes, intense camera work and filled with surprises and twists throughout the movie.  Filming took place in a number of different interesting and unique locations.  Those locations included Jodhpur, London, Nottingham, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York City, Newark and Pittsburgh.

The main plot of this movie is Batman struggling to save Gotham City.  Batman struggles with Gotham City police and the main evil character otherwise known as Bain.  That’s the gist of the entire movie.  Giving you all the details would not be ideal which means you need to go check it out yourself! “The Dark Knight Rises” received an 8.8 out of 10 on imdb.com and an 87 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, a popular movie critic site, known for being critical and somewhat harsh on movies.

Seeing such great reviews and attention from critics worldwide already, I highly recommend you seeing the film as soon as possible before it is no longer in theaters.  However if you unfortuantely miss the showing, “The Dark Knight Rises” DVD is set to be released this upcoming December.
