Snake sightings reported in freshmen residence hall

“Someone yelled snake,” Kim Pepenella, freshman political science and communication major, said. Late last week, Pepenella was in her dorm room in Xavier Hall when she heard someone shout. Snakes had been spotted coming from underneath the base board trim. A student down the hall found a snake in her room. Pepenella said that she Googled the type of snake that was found in the dorm to find out if the snakes were poisonous or not.

The Policy Institute: A conversation about rape

One in four women in college will experience rape or attempted rape. On Friday, Aug. 15 2014, Cabrini College held the Policy Institute for the first time in its history. The conference centered around policies and actions that must take place if/when rape occurs on campuses, workplaces and organizations. The main objectives were to raise awareness and discuss best practices that abide by the state laws already in place.
