Dr. Katie Farina is an assistant professor of criminology. She did not start off on this path. In fact, she took a complete 180 turn from a psychology undergraduate to now studying and teaching criminology. I was really interested in how she took a turn in that direction. She went on to say she realized she didn’t want to work one on one with people her junior year and wasn’t good at it. Everything just fell in place shortly after. She loves Cabrini because of the small environment. She believes it is a great fit.

Assistant professor Dr. Frank Duthie has had a fascinating and adventurous life. He has been to every continent expect Antarctica. Cabrini is his first full-time teaching job. He is an assistant professor of business administration with a specialization in finance He has skills from working on Wall Street for 20 years. He got a Ph.D. at Northwestern University. Amazingly he taught summer semesters in Finland. He enjoys teaching and is realizing that building relationships at Cabrini is most important, as well as making a high impact on his students. He said, he’s still figuring things out, but within the few next months he will be moving along fine.
