Ashlee Simpson’s “Autobiography” debuts at number one.

On a quest to break away from the typical pop star image, Simpson searches for her own style and identity in the music industry. Simpson, co wrote her album, and enables listeners to get a sense of who she is through her lyrics. She expresses her bitter emotions about discovering herself and having her heart broken by previous boyfriends. “Autobiography”, has an edgy sound with a pop twist to it. Simpson proves to have staying power and has brought a sharper sound to the pop world.

Maroon 5, blends a little bit of R & B to their alternative sound.

The Album titled “Songs about Jane”, consist of love song type lyrics with raspy vocals sung by lead vocalist, Adam Levin. This funky blend of romantic words with an alternative sound results in catchy melodies with a sweet sound of love. This is an album that you can listen to all the way through without skipping a song.

Papa Roach fans will be impressed.

Their third album titled “Getting away with murder” seems to pull together the sounds of their two previous albums. The first being hardcore rock and the second portraying a more heavy metal sound with daring lyrics. This album seems to be their best work to date, and fans and new listeners will be pleased.

Usher’s “Confessions” tops the billboard charts.

His debut single, “Yeah” was a dance hit across the county in clubs everywhere. This album is like an autobiography and he lets his fans in on his personal life. The album has a redundant sound similar to his previous albums. Fans however do not seem to be disappointed.
