Study abroad allows for unique opportunities

Have you ever envisioned traveling to a foreign country, or better yet, learning in a foreign country? You can make your dreams a reality by studying abroad!

Cabrini College offers a variety of study abroad options for students to choose from. Students can choose to study in Australia, Rome or London. Students study abroad in their country of choice for a full semester, but there are also short-term options for students. Short-term study abroad sessions last about eight to 10 days.

There is also a partnership option, in which students can partner with colleges and travel to a country that Cabrini does not offer. The most popular among these are Temple University and Arcadia University programs abroad, as well as the Semester at Sea program offered through the University of Virginia

Cabrini is affiliated with three institutions abroad: the University of Notre Dame, Australia, the American University of Rome and St. Mary’s University College in Twickenham, London, England. Students work with with Dr. Nick Uliano, Study Abroad Coordinator, from the application process through the reentry process once they have returned home.

“There are many benefits to be gained by any student who chooses to add an international dimension to their undergraduate program at Cabrini. We live in global society; having experience abroad helps prepare any student for the challenges and joys of life in the twenty-first century,” Uliano said. “Students learn to sharpen their decision-making and problem-solving skills. While abroad, students find themselves in new situations all the time. As they maneuver through uncharted territory and convey their needs and thoughts using new language and intercultural skills, they gain confidence. These skills are transferable to other aspects of life, both personal and professional.”
