Carly Rae’s Call Me Maybe…

By Se'Quia Bailey

Turn on the radio and you’re sure to hear a song from this artist. “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepson is no stranger now to the radio. While many are rather sick of her song repeatedly played on the radio there are many who love this Canadian singer’s voice. Jepson’s bubbly innocent personality captures audiences with a great smile and great voice.

Carly Rae Jepson’s sound is considered pop. It’s sure to get your head nodding and your foot patting. Her hot new single titled “This Kiss” is creeping up the charts and into the homes, cars, iPods and cell phones of America. Carly Rae first started the music business in Canada where she was fifth runner up for Canadian idol. She came to the United States, like many, to jump-start an amazing dream many artists have– to win over the hearts of music fans across the nation.

She has done just that! As her album “Kiss,” which came out Sept. 18, 2012, is being promoted, Carly Rae is being seen throughout the United States touring with artists like Justin Bieber. Carly Rae is not currently working on any new projects but she is definitely building her fan base. Love her or hate her but the Canadian native is making her way to the top and she is not going to stop until she gets there. Carly Rae’s song can get annoying after a while but you can’t help but get her tune stuck in your head.
