Mission IMPROVable

Witty, on the spot and undoubtedly funny, Mission Improvable, took to the stage in the mansion Tuesday night, to give our students some comedy for the night.

Being very eccentric and interactive, the four man crew of Mission Improvable, galloped and walked through the crowd, to ask the viewers random questions to begin there night and do what they do best, improvisational comedy.

“I thought they were hilarious,” said junior business major Laura Petrucci, “It was the most fun I’ve had at any CAP Board event I’ve gone to.”

It seemed as though many of the students that were there felt the same way, as the comedians had the crowd laughing the whole night. Using questions and topics from the crowd, the comedians were able to keep the attention of the crowd and deliver on what they promised: “a great night of improv comedy.”

The group of four have performed throughout the country and at other colleges/universities such as Chesapeake College, Hastings College and more.

The show gave us glimpses of comedic shows such as, MTV’s “Wild’n Out,” but there is a bit of a difference because the comedic actors in Mission Improvable pretend to be agents, and use the audience as co-agents, allowing the crowd to participate in theatre games and give suggestions on what to act upon. Many of the students participated and gave plaudits to the CAP board members for setting the show up.

“It’s really nice as a program on campus to get praise for setting up any event,” said VP of CAP board Brianna Ridgley, “but the reaction we got from this well known event was great, the students were involved and they all seemed to enjoy the performance that Mission Improvable gave them.”

Students who didn’t show up to the event missed out on a great night, as it was filled with laughter and comedy of many flavors. The comedians tying in what the audience wanted to hear was what made the night and is what many colleges and programs praise Mission Improvable for bringing them for a night of entertainment.
