Fall Sweet Treats

The wind is blowing, temperatures are dropping and the leaves are changing colors. This could only mean one thing– fall has arrived! With fall arriving cafes and restaurants across the nation are featuring season favorites. Right here at Cabrini College the ever-so-famous pumpkin-flavored products are being stocked on the shelves and stirred up in the kitchen. Among the treats is the pumpkin latte and the chai-glazed pumpkin muffin.

“I love the pumpkin latte, it’s so refreshing. But you really have to be into pumpkin to enjoy it.” sophomore Sara Allaire said. Of course I had to go and try it for myself. I’m not into pumpkin but surely a lover of food would appreciate something new.

The pumpkin spice latte is very refreshing. It gives the same feeling as a great cup of coffee to start the day. It has a sweet taste to it and an after taste of pumpkin. Definitely something to drink on an ice cold day to warm you up.

The chai glazed pumpkin muffin was also quite the treat. The glaze on the top really complemented the pumpkin spice. It was sweet and very moist on the inside. Biting into the top was like biting sugar cane and it melts right in your mouth. I wouldn’t recommend getting both the latte and muffin together however because the pumpkin can be a little over-whelming. Unless of course you absolutely LOVE pumpkin.

These seasonal treats should remain seasonal because all year round will just make the anticipation of them die down. People look forward to these tastes during certain holidays to get them in the mood for the season. Got a sweet tooth? Feeling a little cold? Run over to Jazzman’s and let the pumpkin products send your taste buds soaring!
