The Children’s School

Dear Loquitur,
I would like to point out several errors in the 3-21 article on the changes at The Children’s School.
It was reported that TCS was started about 20 years ago. In fact, it is concluding its 26th year of continual existence as a premier early childhood facility in the Delaware Valley.

It was also reported that the day care component of TCS was added about ten years ago. Not so. The Children’s School has had a full day program ( open from at least 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) since it opened in 1975. Offering a nurturing and educational environment to the children of faculty and staff, as well as to the community, was part of the mission of the school.

If the decision has been made to change this, so be it. But to characterize this change as “a return to the roots” of this school is inaccurate.
