Confucius said, “I hear and I forget – I see and I remember – I experience and I understand.” This year, Cabrini’s Graduate and Professional Studies department introduced a new means of advertising the school’s Masters Program through television commercials. It is the departments hope that adults looking to enroll in a masters program will “see” the commercials, and “remember” Cabrini when making their decisions to choose a school providing Advanced Education programs.
Elaine Rebick, who has been the Manager of the Recruitments and Enrollment Center for Graduate and Professional Studies for a short four months here at Cabrini, headed up the project of the college’s first commercial’s production.
“There was information that we wanted to get out and we wanted to make sure that the information hit that particular audience,” said Rebick. “The audience we were trying to target was more of an adult community.”
In it’s strive to advertise the colleges Master of Education, Master of Science in Organization Leadership and Master of Science in Instructional Systems and Technology Programs, the ad asks viewers, “Spinning your wheels in a career that’s just not moving? Steer yourself over to Cabrini.”
“What grabbed my attention in the commercial was the part that said you could receive your undergraduate degree in as little as 18 months,” said junior History and Secondary Education major Will Harmon, after having viewed the commercial. “I wish I could do that.”
