"There was a lockdown at our school. It was just a false thing, but it was still the scariest moment of my life. I was thinking, a lot of kids don't even make it to graduation."

On Saturday, March 24, 38 days after the Parkland shooting, individuals from across the country gathered in their local cities to advocate for ending gun violence. Protests took place in cities as prominent as Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Houston, Parkland itself and more.

An estimated 800,000 protestors flocked to the nation’s capital, calling on representatives to act.

These demonstrators armed themselves with community allies, democracy and passion-inspired signs.
