Nickelback is a band that started in 1996. Lead singer Chad Kroeger, bassist Mike Kroeger, guitarist Chad Peaker, and drummer Mitch Gandau make up the band. The band originated in Canada but has slowly worked its way into U.S. popularity. Members of the band will even be part of the Spiderman soundtrack for the popular movie release on May 3rd with a track titled “Hero”.

The band is currently part of the MTV campus invasion tour along with Default, Injected and Starsailor. Starsailor will be featured on the MTV2 stage. The tour runs throughout April and May. It stopped at University of Delaware on April 25th at the Trabant University Center. While there are no college stops in PA, a true fan can travel a little to New York on April 27th at Buffalo State College or April 29th at SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam, NY. You could also see them in Richmond, VA on May 1st.

Nickelback is also planning on making a stop at a popular restaurant and bar in Delaware called Kahunaville. No date is set for this event yet but talk is already around town. Josh Rutherford, a Nickelback fan, said “Hopefully they’ll be back in DE on Kahuna’s summer stage.”

The summer stage has become a popular summer concert spot. Last summer Sugar Ray made a stop and had a sold out show. Nickelback may be the next act to follow this sold out trend this summer.
