Its barley possible to navigate efficiently through the mass of students, and the last thing most are thinking about if how fattening their muffin or even their Asian salad really is.

Cabrini's fall sports teams are gearing up for another explosive season. The players have been practicing on campus since Aug. 20 to sharpen their skills and welcome some new freshmen players. The teams are optimistic and are anxiously waiting to see what the new players bring to the table.

It's hard not to notice the many changes that have taken place on Cabrini's campus over the past few months. With the erection of West Residence Hall, the new cuisine bars in Jazzman's and the growing class sizes, it almost feels like we're bursting at the seams.

The women's spring track is gearing up for another season starting this week. Coaches Tom O'Hora and James Williams are optimistic about the team and have great aspirations for this season. "We have the upper hand this season," said Williams. The team conditions year round because track is is continuous from August through May, according to O'Hora.

New Jersey legalizes gay unions

The New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that homosexual couples will be granted the same rights as heterosexual couples, on Wednesday, Oct. 25. However, the choice to making same-sex unions legal will be up to the lawmakers. According to the Washing Post, the new law allows same-sex couples healthcare benefits if a partner is a state worker as well and the right to inherit possessions if the deceased partner leaves behind no will.

New athletic website unveiled

Cabrini's new Athletic website is scheduled to be unveiled to the public this week. The site includes new features and gives fans up-to-the-minute highlights of their favorite Cavalier teams. Matthew Holmes, Webmaster of the marketing and communications department, said that the development of the new website was a joint effort between the athletics and the marketing and communications departments.
