‘Tis the season to be scary

'Tis the season to be scared. During this time, Hollywood tries to market its scary movies "I love them," junior Gina Piro said. "Scary movies can keep you on your toes." Junior Melissa Natividad said, "I love scary movies because they keep you in suspense.

No hiding deceit

How do you know when enough is enough? At one point in everyone's life, you meet that special someone that you feel is just right for you. You fall in love with this person and realize that this might be the one. It's the time you spend together, the things you experience and the things you do for each other that makes you feel your relationship will stand the test of time.

Fishing for the real people

Communication is the key to any relationship. Whether it be your boyfriend, girlfriend, best friend, or even your family. There are times in our life that unexpected things happen between friends or so-called friends. Sometimes we can't help it, especially because it was inevitable.

Lil Kim with a queen bee attack

Queen Bee attacks and her sting is bigger than ever. Lil' Kim debuts her third album and this time she's going hard on this 16 track album. Her first album Hardcore was an instant classic due to her mentor's influence, the late and great Notorious B.I.G. It was thought to be that B.

Election update: possibility of a military draft

The United States military is everywhere. The Armed Forces are on active duty not only in Iraq and Afghanistan, but also in the former Soviet Union, South Korea and in scattered parts of Europe. Sen. Chuck Hagel, a Republican from Nebraska, stressed the issue on how the United States must reinstitute the draft.

Feelings about draft

While writing my news article I started to really think. Who the hell does Bush think he is reinstituting the draft? Personally, I never did like him as our president. I personally think he didn't do anything for Americans in the events following 9/11. When I see Bush all I can think about is the Purdue chicken man from all the commercials.

Values on campus

Last year I remember a certain letter to the editor questioning the values of students on campus. Calling the quality of what we right "hedonistic," wanting us to challenge our current values of "no one is going to tell me what to do, I want, what I want, when I want.

Tennis season wrap up

It's the end of another season for the men's tennis team. All though they finished ranked in the same position for the past three years they still had a better season then last year. The men's tennis team was happy because they defeated every team that they had lost to last year.

Growing to appreciate sports

It's funny how my perspective on sports has changed over the years. When I was younger I couldn't believe why people would waste their time to watch on T.V. what they could watch in person. I couldn't stand being home and wanting to watch a movie or even a cartoon show and having the rest of my family be too busy watching the Mets game.

Seasonal shape up encourages fitness

The weather's starting to get better and the clothes are starting to come off. Girl's in their halter-tops, tube tops, and belly shirts, while the guys are starting to get out their white tees and uptowns / air force ones. But before all this can happen people are running toward the gym and starting diets to shed the pounds before summer hits.

Golf season takes full swing

While many students were enjoying their spring breaks in a tropical climate, Cabrini's golf team was in Williamsburg, Va. Getting ready for their season. In Virginia, the golf team, supervised by coach Dr. Tony Verde, played four games on a four-star course.

Cabrini College athletes in a class of their own

Cabrini College by far produces the most successful athletes on and off the field. With teams having over 3.0 GPAs, and multiple Pennsylvania Athletic Conference championships, what more can you ask for? Cabrini College has been apart of the PAC since it started in 1992.

Offices need better communication

It seems like every year for the past three years that I have attended Cabrini I go through the same thing each semester when it comes to my loans. Apparently, the business office and the financial aid office don't communicate at all. Ever since my freshman year my mother receives a bill each time saying I owe a large sum of money when in actuality I am all paid up for.

Parking policy still confusing to all students

An alarm clock goes off at 5:55 a.m.; a student jumps out of bed, throws on sneakers and runs out of House 2. Running up the stairs between Houses 2 and 3, the student takes the short-cut between the Widener Center and Founder's Hall to get to the parking lot.
