Track continues strong season

Cabrini's track stars, Shatievah Lewis, Quiana Volney, Jaiquann Beckham and Abiu Santos each had outstanding performances while competing in the Lafayette University/Rider University meet. The Cabrini men and women's indoor track and field teams traveled to the New York City Armory on Friday, Feb.

Spotlight on: Jess Huda, fitness coordinator

If you want to meet Jess Huda, fitness coordinator at Cabrini College and women's assistant soccer coach and goalkeeper specialist, head down to the Dixon Center, where chances are she will be either working out or doing work in her office. Huda's office, atop the Dixon Center stairs, is filled with soccer posters, photographs of memories with the soccer team and photographs of her nephews, all which are most important to her.

‘It’s Complicated’ a hit for everyone

The themes of "It's Complicated" aren't too complicated to grasp-it's a comedy about love, divorce and romance. The twist is that it is about a middle-aged woman, who is alone after a nasty divorce and becomes romantically involved with two different men at once, one being her ex-husband.

‘Religious Minds Art Exhibit’ has Cabrini community look at scientific art

Radiological scans, folk religious paintings and objects narrating stories of miraculous healing were the themes for the art exhibit at Cabrini. The art pieces now fill the walls of the art gallery in the Grace and Joseph Gorevin Fine Arts Gallery in the Holy Spirit Library on the 2nd floor.

Old classic transforms to 3D

Disney's "A Christmas Carol," which has been re-created by award-winning filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, received three out of five according to New York Times. "'A Christmas Carol' was very well done. I was sort of surprised at how scary certain parts were. But overall I was filled with the Christmas spirit by the end of it," Corinne Grasso, senior English major, said.

A silk dress was one of the many pieces of art and display at the Moore College Student Art Show. Student art pieces will fill the white walls at Moore College from Oct. 24 until Dec. 9. As one walks down the hallway towards the gallery, there are different student displays.

The Cabrini College radio station, WYBF was one of the reasons why senior English and communication major, Paul Skow, wanted to attend Cabrini. "Rockin' Out with Paul Skow" is a weekly WYBF-FM radio show. Paul Skow's show is on Wednesdays from 2 p.m to 4 p.

It's time for a new Cavalier. For the past couple of years the visual Cavalier has been absent from campus activities. Student government and student athletics have a new initiative on campus to get a new Cavalier design.

Latest trends hit the scene for fall, winter

America has a style of its own that changes year-to-year and season-to-season. With the seasons changing, students will change their trends and wardrobes for 2009 as it gets colder out. This year, flannels, t-shirts and jeans, along with a more relaxed and layered look are in, according to the Fashion 2009 Web site.
