Team content with first season

The women's swim team season has come to an end as it finished with a 3-3 record. Although this was the first official season that Cabrini had a swim team, all the members involved, swimmers and coaching staff, are satisfied with the outcome. Michael Kernicky, the head coach, said this year's team "Is learning how to compete," and believes that with the four to five new swimmers expected for next season, the team will improve substantially.

Nice try guys, lame lines don’t fly

I'm sure bad pick-up lines have been around since the beginning of time, but it makes me wonder if they have always been so pathetic. I don't doubt that Adam tried to pull some "why don't you taste my apples" or "I got a snake for you" lines on Eve, but you would think that by now the male population would have come up with some better ones.

Dog rejects man’s advances

A drunken Thai man suffered injuries to his face, chest, and arms after trying to rape a dog. Police report that they found the inebriated and bloodied man stumbling alongside a road. Seminar focuses on rape

Twenty percent of college women and 10 percent of college men are raped each year. The college held an interactive date rape seminar intended to inform students of the dangers and consequences of the issue. Jeff Kaplan, who has a doctorate in psychology, spoke of potentially risky situations that college students face on a regular basis and how to prevent them from becoming detrimental.

‘Musical Chairs’ has never been this sexy

Sex and deception will flood Cabrini's campus as students present this spring's play, Musical Chairs. The full title, "Musical Chairs: A Chance Play In 8 Scenes Of 20" is about the relationships between friends and spouses connected by a common lover. The play takes place over one week and introduces five characters: Tom, the husband, Anne, his wife, David, his best friend, Karen, his ex-fling, and Melissa, his current mistress.

Residents upset by housing restrictions

Frustrated faces attentively listened in disappointment as Residence Life Director George Stroud explained the housing procedures for next year. Due to the increasingly large amount of freshman residents, it seems upperclassmen may be at a disadvantage when it comes to living on campus next fall.
